Non-Medical Role Acknowledgment

Client Advocacy Limits

While doulas advocate for their clients' wishes and informed decision-making, this advocacy has limits. You agree to:

  • Support clients in communicating with their healthcare team, not speaking for them
  • Respect the medical authority of licensed healthcare providers
  • Never interfere with medical care or emergency situations
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times
